Hitit University Achieves Major Successes in Accreditation and TQF Alignment Processes
Hitit University has made significant progress in its accreditation and Türkiye Qualifications Framework (TQF) alignment efforts, aimed at enhancing the quality of education and aligning institutional standards with national and international benchmarks. With its determined and systematic approach, Hitit University stands out as a leading example among regional institutions.
Since its establishment, Hitit University has pursued a vision of cultivating highly qualified graduates. In recent years, the university has crowned its vision with concrete achievements.
To coordinate accreditation activities and manage the TQF alignment process, the university established the TQF Alignment and Accreditation Office in 2024. This new office institutionalized the university’s quality and accreditation journey, providing a structured framework for continuous improvement.
A Major Leap in Program Accreditations
Many programs within Hitit University’s faculties and vocational schools have been successfully accredited by national and international accreditation bodies recognized for their competence and credibility.
As a result of on-site evaluation processes completed between 2023 and 2025, a total of 13 undergraduate and associate degree programs within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Theology, Vocational School of Health Services, Vocational School of Social Sciences, and Vocational School of Technical Sciences were accredited.
While only 2 programs received accreditation in 2024, this number increased to 13 in 2025, marking substantial growth.
International Recognition Through TQF-Logo Diplomas
Another notable achievement of Hitit University is earning the right to display the Türkiye Qualifications Framework (TQF) logo on its diplomas.
The TQF logo ensures that graduates’ knowledge, skills, and competencies are recognized and validated internationally, enabling them to start their global careers with a competitive advantage.
As of 2025, 8 accredited programs at Hitit University have earned the right to include the TQF logo on their diplomas.
Continuing Efforts in Accreditation and TQF Alignment
In addition to the 13 accredited programs across six academic units, Hitit University completed accreditation applications for nine new programs in 2025.
These include: Economics, Political Science and Public Administration, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Banking and Insurance, Tourism and Hotel Management, and Coaching Education. Evaluation processes for these programs are currently underway.
Following on-site visits and evaluations, the number of accredited programs is expected to reach 22 by 2026.
Meanwhile, the process of obtaining the TQF logo continues to progress rapidly. By the end of 2025, five additional programs are expected to receive the TQF logo, increasing the total to 13 programs.
“Quality and Accreditation Are Integral to Our Institutional Identity”
Hitit University Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk emphasized that quality is not merely a goal but an inseparable part of the university’s institutional identity.
Highlighting the university’s commitment to expanding the culture of quality and accreditation across all academic units and enhancing the national and international recognition of its graduates, Prof. Dr. Öztürk stated:
